For this 11th episode, "The Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Paris: building the industry of tomorrow, together," join Mickaël Rivette, director of the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Paris, who will present the educational and innovative ecosystem in which he is involved on a daily basis.

Mickaël Rivette, director of the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Paris, will be the guest on this podcast to present the educational and innovative ecosystem in which he is involved on a daily basis. He will discuss the many links forged by the Paris campus with numerous companies, as well as the important research challenges on campus, based on actions and projects relating to both technological innovation and green industry. Mickaël Rivette will also discuss his role as campus director within the Arts et Métiers community.

Biography

Before becoming an engineer and director of an Arts et Métiers campus, Mickaël Rivette began his studies with a technical university degree in mechanical engineering, which led him to join a mechanical design engineering firm. He wanted to realize his dream of building machines. Alongside his work at the company, he continued his studies, obtaining an engineering degree from the CNAM, while developing special machines for automobile assembly.

Highly motivated by this field, he undertook postgraduate studies in Business Management, attending evening classes, with the ambition of one day running a company. This training enabled him to quickly take charge of a design office with thirty employees. After ten years in industry, he completed a thesis at the École Centrale de Nantes and then worked as a lecturer and researcher at the École Polytechnique de Montréal for four years.

He joined Arts et Métiers 2011, initially as a lecturer-researcher at the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers , where he worked with anotherArts et Métiers lecturer-researcher, Simon Richir, to develop a one-year expertise program that was open to professional training contracts. In 2014, he joined the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Metz, where he quickly took on responsibility for corporate relations before becoming deputy director of the Metz campus in charge of corporate relations. In 2018, he joined the general managementArts et Métiers director of corporate relationsArts et Métiers Arts et Métiers to develop school/industry relations. In April 2023, Mickaël Rivette was appointed director of the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Paris.
