Company

The APE division is managed in Metz by Bertrand Krauser, national head of the program and professor of humanities and social sciences at the Metz campus.

The APE offers students tailored support to help them better understand their professional future. "The program could also be called Professional Support for Business, given how professional it is!" emphasizes Bertrand Krauser.
On the Metz campus, as on other Arts et Métiers sites Arts et Métiers see below), students benefit from around 20 hours of teaching and two hours of individual interviews as part of the APE, which validate their formal learning achievements. Events co-organized with the BRE or PEIT (round tables, entrepreneurship challenges, business lunches, CaMeX-IA hackathons, etc.) round out the program.
In 2023, Delphine Carissimo, head of BRE Metz, breathed new life into the program by working closely with APE to improve the visibility of the campus sponsors' employer brand.
Twice per semester, interactive workshops are led by industry professionals. After a presentation of the company, an hour is devoted to discussing topics in working groups.

Numerous events

An internship forum is also organized on campus. This is an opportunity for students to meet professionals individually and learn about the opportunities available to them.
Company visits are also offered to promote students' professional development through advice from industry experts.
In Metz, the most recent visits took place at three major sites in Lorraine: Actemium in Metz, the Messein Research and Formulation Laboratory (COLAS group), and ArcelorMittal in Florange. Other visits are planned for April 19.

Committed stakeholders

"The twenty or so professionals working in the Lorraine program regret that such an organization was not available to them when they were students," says Bertrand Krauser. That is why they are so strongly committed to this mission of helping students succeed in their careers. They enjoy sharing their management experience, providing career guidance, and above all, helping to shape the professional future of students."
