Every year, Arts et Métiers international students from all over the world. Why did they choose to pursue their studies on the Lille campus? How were their first few weeks in France? Hicham and Oghenemarho provide some answers.

ENSAM Meknes: A Partnership with Arts et Métiers Benefits Hicham
After completing his first years of engineering studies atENSAM Meknes in Morocco, Hicham Lahyani chose to continue his education with the Master of Science inMaster of Science Integration in Mechanical Production – Advanced Production Systems (KIMP-APS) program at the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Lille. “ I’ve always sought the best academic education, a multidisciplinary approach, and an international outlook for my studies. So I was thrilled to be shortlisted for the KIMP-APS dual degree program.” Hicham explains. After completing two internships in Morocco—one at an automotive parts supplier and the other in the rail industry—Hicham now hopes to specialize in automotive research and development. Having arrived in France in mid-September, Hicham is gradually getting to know the country.“The Master of Science is my first international experience. This program, taught entirely in English, will allow me to improve my English. Beyond the academic aspects, I’m also looking forward to discovering life in France and the Gadz’Arts community.”

From Nigeria to Arts et Métiers
Oghenemarho arrived in France a year ago to pursue the Master of Science program“Factory of the Future.” For this Nigerian student, who completed his first year in Paris, choosing France for his further studies was a no-brainer:“I chose to study in France because of its prestigious history in engineering education. Studying in France is also an opportunity to learn French, a language widely spoken in Africa.” After a year on the Paris campus, Oghenemarho is getting ready to explore the Lille campus through the Master of Science .“My year in Paris was intense; the pace of the classes was fast and different from what I was used to during my bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering in Nigeria. I also really enjoyed student life and the events organized by the school in collaboration with companies.” Oghenemarhohopes to eventually work in the manufacturing industry, developing and producing sustainable, high-quality furniture.
