A global leader in consulting and digital transformation, CapGemini has called on Arts et Métiers Dassault Systèmes to train its employees in PLM tools and prepare them for Industry 4.0.
Its academic expertise and the quality of its research led CapGemini to organize Arts et Métiers training course dedicated to digital engineering in partnership with Arts et Métiers .
From research to training
"Since 2017, we have been working with CapGemini on two theses in Aix and Paris on the creative use of data and an augmented design environment," explains Frédéric Segonds, senior lecturer at the Product Design and Innovation Laboratory (LCPI) on the Paris campus, who managed the project with Philippe Veron, professor at LISPEN (Aix-en-Provence campus) and director of the Carnot ARTS institute. CapGemini naturally turned to us to organize training on the subject for its employees."
Dassault Systèmes is also involved in the training, as participants are trained in their tools as part of the 3DExperience program.
For new hires or experienced employees
The training is aimed at young recruits or experienced CapGemini employees undergoing retraining, with a view to becoming PLM expert consultants. It is also offered as part of the "École by CapGemini" program, launched in 2019 to train people for the jobs of the future linked to Industry 4.0 (more information).
It includes theoretical lessons related to the deployment of PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) tools: industrial project management, engineering and information systems, design methodologies, design and simulation, etc.
The last day, one of the most popular with participants, is devoted to a practical case study in which learners design, simulate, and produce a mechanical part using additive manufacturing at the LCPI premises.
Sessions are held every month, andmore than 70 learners were trained in 2019.
