As part of the partnership with TAMU, the Aix-en-Provence and Châlons campuses are participating for the first time in an international hackathon: INVENT for the PLANET from February 15 to 17, 2019.
Eighteen general engineering students from the Aix-en-Provence and Châlons campuses are signed up for this adventure. They will be competing against around thirty universities from 20 countries across six continents!
This is a real opportunity for our students, but also for the teachers and researchers who will be their mentors, to experience such an adventure, to innovate, to create locally within a limited time frame, while collaborating with students from around the world.
The principle: two days to innovate and devise solutions, prototyping them to address major global challenges. The stages are carried out locally with mentors present, but collaboration between teams is possible at any time, wherever they are located: a great technical challenge... and a linguistic one too!
At the end of the weekend, a local jury will select the best team, which will then compete via video in front of an international jury that will choose five finalists.
And the five selected teams will travel to the US for the Grand Final at the end of April 2019.
