The Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Paris is hosting the 7th edition of the Open Science Days organized by the Couperin Consortium, which Arts et Métiers responsible for negotiating with scientific publishers to purchase digital resources on behalf of its members, including Arts et Métiers .
The event will begin on January 22, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. with a welcome address by the director ofArts et Métiers.
The first day will be devoted to open access policies, with the planned attendance (subject to confirmation) of Frédérique Vidal, Minister of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation.
On Tuesday, January 23, 2018, starting at 9:30 a.m., discussions will focus on OA2020, a business model involving publishers, and on bibliodiversity: alternative models within various research communities.
On Wednesday, January 24, 2018, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the discussion will focus on evaluating research without using impact factors.
The Couperin Consortium has 253 members: 108 universities and similar institutions, 29 research organizations, and 87 schools
