On Friday, June 22, 2018, the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Lille and the Confederation of SMEs in Northern France will sign a partnership agreement aimed at raising student awareness of entrepreneurship and developing their interest in SMEs.
Raise awareness of entrepreneurship and SMEs
Nearly 30% of students trained at Arts et Métiers an SME after completing their studies. Convinced that this rate can be further increased by improving students' knowledge of microbusinesses and SMEs, CPME Nord wants to demonstrate the benefits for students of joining an SME or even starting their own business after completing their studies. To this end, as part of the partnership, it is offering to make its "Génération PME" tool available and to invite business leaders to speak at the school.
Strengthening school-business relations
This partnership will also strengthen relations between regional SMEs and the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Lille. Business leaders who are members of the CPME will be able to discover the training courses and research areas offered byArts et Métiers. They will also have the opportunity to attend demonstrations of the technological expertise and innovations developed in the campus's laboratories and technology platforms.
For Stéphane Clenet, director of the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Lille , "Through this partnership, we want to facilitate contact between our students and business leaders, in order to contribute to the economic development of the region."
