9th wave of the Opinionway – Arts & Métiers barometer survey, "High school students and industry"
This ninth wave of the "High School Students and Industry" survey, conducted one year after the start of the health crisis, highlights young people's unwavering interest in industry. Far from tarnishing the sector's image among high school students, the pandemic has even sparked—or reinforced—career aspirations among some.
This unusual year has highlighted the importance of industry. Many high school students say they now have a better understanding of industrial professions and emphasize the sector's essential role in the economy, in the fight against the pandemic, and also in the fight against global warming.
For high school students, industry is more than ever a sector with a bright future, and they see the current crisis as an exceptional opportunity to (re)energize French industry. To achieve this, they want above all to capitalize on the prestige of "Made in France" by relocating as many industries as possible.
