The Arts et Métiers campus library Arts et Métiers Bordeaux-Talence is organizing a meeting with Shadi Matar, who created a library during the war in Syria.

On the occasion of the Night of Reading (a national event launched by the Ministry of Culture and organized by schools and higher education institutions), the Bordeaux-Talence Campus Library is hosting a special meeting with Shadi Matar, a Syrian filmmaker in his twenties.

During the civil war that ravaged his country, he salvaged books from the ruins of bombed buildings in order to build a library with his friends. Shadi Matar participated in the making of a film about this adventure.
