AI Week: A National Campaign

From May 18 to 24, 2026, AI for All Week will host events across France to make artificial intelligence more tangible, understandable, and accessible to everyone. AI for All Week is a national event aimed at raising broad awareness of the challenges surrounding artificial intelligence. Supported by a network of academic, institutional, and local partners, it offers a variety of activities, workshops, conferences, and educational games accessible to all audiences, with a special focus on those who lack digital access.

This initiative is part of the national goal to raise awareness among 2 million French people by 2027. To achieve this, it is bringing together all stakeholders with the aim of organizing nearly 1,500 events across France and raising awareness among more than 50,000 citizens, while staying closely attuned to local realities.

As part of this initiative, Arts et Métiers actively Arts et Métiers through the CAIRE project, organizing awareness-raising activities on several campuses.

The goal of this national initiative is clear: to make AI a tool for inclusion by addressing the general public’s lack of trust and lack of training. On the campuses in Bordeaux-Talence, Cluny, Châlons-en-Champagne, and Paris, workshops, conferences, AI Cafés, quizzes, and debates will provide opportunities to explore the uses of AI in a simple, interactive, and critical manner. This approach is fully aligned with the institution’s mission and the goals outlined in its DDRS plan.

CAIRE, a project promoting responsible use

De-polarizing the conversation around AI, promoting responsible use, and highlighting the importance of mediation are all goals we share " explains Cécile Weltman, CAIRE project manager.

By offering activities tailored to different audiences, the Arts et Métiers campuses Arts et Métiers a key role in this initiative. “It is essential that everyone, regardless of their level of digital literacy, age, or background, be able to understand the challenges of artificial intelligence and grasp its various applications. That is why the campuses are able to offer activities aimed at staff members, students, and schoolchildren alike,” she continues.

This educational approach draws in particular on resources developed as part of the CAIRE initiative, which are designed to foster critical thinking and provide a better understanding of the impact of AI on everyday life.

Raising Awareness of AI Issues in a Different Way

Beyond simply introducing people to these tools, the goal is to encourage broader reflection on the uses of AI and their implications. “What immediately drew me to the CAIRE project was its ethical and responsible approach to raising public awareness about AI, ” says Adélaïde Fleury, the project’s administrator.

As the use of AI continues to grow, this approach seems essential. “I am convinced of the urgent need to teach users to reflect on how they use AI, to become aware of its impacts, and to understand the challenges involved in designing these systems ,she adds.

She was able to put this approach into practice duringArts et Métiers participationArts et Métiers Industry Week in November 2025 at the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie: “I had the opportunity to lead a workshop for schoolchildren, during which 150 students were introduced to the topic through an interactive game, ‘AI or Not AI,’ focused on recognizing images and videos generated by artificial intelligence. A format that is both fun and educational, helping students develop critical thinking skills regarding digital content and better understand the uses and challenges of AI in everyday life.”
