Training courses

Around fifty Arts et Métiers staff members Arts et Métiers already participated in CAIRE training courses in Bordeaux and Paris.

In November, CAIRE training sessions were launched. This program aims to train citizens in the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools. In addition, with a better understanding of AI, teachers will be able to develop the courses they teach.
Participants highlighted the quality of the content and activities offered and left with a better understanding of AI tools and their limitations, as well as being better equipped to use them on a daily basis. "A big thank you to these first participants for their constructive feedback, which will help improve the training," said Cécile Weltman, CAIRE project manager.

A two-phase launch: the Bordeaux and Paris campuses

The CAIRE program is organized into three levels of training. The first Level 1 sessions are aimed atArts et Métiers staffArts et Métiers representatives of the project partners.
In Bordeaux, the training sessions were held on November 7 and 8, welcoming 10 and 12 participants, including representatives from CNAM, who came to observe the deployment procedures.
On November 21, in Paris, 12 people benefited from the training, followed by 13 others the next day. "This initial selection of staff includes potential trainers, as well as teachers, teacher-researchers, and members of various administrative and technical departments," explains Cécile Weltman. "This gives us a diverse sample of testers and comprehensive feedback on the training."

Face-to-face modules for tailored teaching

The format of the sessions was designed to maximize participant engagement and content relevance. With a total duration of eight hours, they are divided into two half-days: a morning of theoretical learning followed by an afternoon where learners deepen their understanding of the concepts covered through group work and discussions.
In Bordeaux, Emmanuelle Abisset-Chavanne, a professor, led the training sessions with the support of Ariane Saive, an educational engineer. In Paris, Ariane led the training sessions. Anna Trimarchi and Emilie Pariel, educational engineers, were present throughout the sessions to gather feedback and reactions from learners.

The importance of continuous improvement

These sessions serve as a test bed for the program. "Feedback allows us to adjust the content and teaching methods, with a view to offering an expanded training schedule in early 2025," explains Cécile Weltman. At the same time, work is underway on Level 2, aimed at experienced AI users, in collaboration with experts in the field.
