After Châlons-en-Champagne, Capgemini continues its campus tour and organizes its first meeting with students at the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Lille.
On Monday, June 3, five Gadz'Arts engineers working at Capgemini, the new patronArts et Métiers, came to meet second-year students from the Graduate Program of the campus of Lille for a day dedicated to discovering the world of consulting!
On the agenda:
- Case studies
- Discussions on career paths and futures
- Moments of conviviality throughout the day between new and future engineers
An event that allowed Capgemini engineers, former students of the Lille campus, to rediscover their old campus as professionals while sharing their experiences with our engineering students.
Edouard Henrio sums up the first day:
Capgemini offers this type of program at many other institutions, but this is a first in Lille! As alumni of the campus, we always feel a special connection when we meet the students who are now in our place and give them the case study.
As a former student, I find that these scenarios offer real added value because they truly enable students to envision their future working life in a different way.
These networking days also give students the opportunity to get feedback from real consultants and to imagine where they might be working in a few years' time.
The alternation between intense periods focused on case studies and more fun, informal discussions helped to give the day a good rhythm and keep the students engaged. Their feedback was very positive, and we are all delighted with this success!
An extremely positive assessment, confirmed by Damien Chagneau – Student in 2issue year of the Grande École program:
"It was a great meeting! The Capgemini representatives were very welcoming and friendly. They presented the issues in a natural way and gave us the freedom to work independently, while remaining available to answer our questions. It was very interesting and rewarding to work with them!
This type of intervention is very interesting in the context of our training, as it allows us to be placed in real-life situations during presentations and feedback sessions in front of consultants. They pushed us to our limits by playing characters and creating destabilizing situations, which added a lot of interest because it allowed us to adapt and think about how to overcome these obstacles.
It's interesting to be able to evolve and adapt to these kinds of issues that you don't necessarily encounter in the academic world.
I am looking for a work-study program next year and hope to be accepted at Capgemini!
In conclusion: It was a great day and I hope it will be repeated in the years to come because it is both an original and enriching format and a very good way for students to learn more about the world of consulting and, more broadly, the professional world.
Many thanks to all participants and congratulations to the students for the quality of the discussions and the relevance of the presentations!
