After completing a preparatory class for the Grandes Écoles in PSI, Loïc Mira joined Arts et Métiers the Lille campus. Convinced of the importance of extracurricular activities within the school, Loïc decided to get involved in campus associations and was elected representative for the promotion of Arts et Métiers, alongside Sophie Turbot for the 2019/2020.
The training Arts et Métiers combining theory with practice
Loïc Mira chose Arts et Métiers the quality of its training, which balances theory and practice, but also for its community aspect, which is a real bonus in engineering education. These are the reasons that prompted him to repeat a year of preparatory classes and retake the entrance exam.
I decided to participate in promoting the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Lille because I want to raise the school's profile outside [...] I had the opportunity to discover the school during an open house, which is why I want to take up the torch and invest myself in promoting the school.
Thanks to the school's network of international partner universities, Loïc was selected to continue his studies and spend his second semester of third year at the École de technologie supérieure in Montreal. in Montreal. "I'm going to choose four courses related to aeronautics, the field in which I want to work later," adds Loïc Mira.
Succeeding in community life and studies: Goal of Loïc Mira
Loïc does not separate his community involvement from his studies. " It's a question of organization; you just have to find the right balance between the two." This responsibility has enabled him to acquire managerial, technical, and interpersonal skills. "As the representative for promoting Arts et Métiers, we organize several events, such as sending engineering students to high school forums and open houses at certain institutions. We get to interact with students, work with them, and share good times together ."
