Twelve American students from various universities, including Texas A&M University (College Station, Qatar), Lamar University, and the University of Texas (Austin, Rio Grande Valley), had the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research projects.

They were welcomed to the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers at the MSMP laboratory as part of the IRES (International Research Experiences for Students) program. This program, funded by the National Science Foundation, supports current research collaborations between Texas A&M University Engineering and Arts et Métiers part of the "AM² Transatlantic Partnership for Industry of the Future." It contributes to the training of deserving students, selected on the basis of social criteria and excellence over a three-year period.

" This program allows these students to be involved in solving scientific and technological problems for the industry of the future," explains Régis Kubler, a professor and researcher at the MSMP laboratory. For two months, these students were able to benefit from the scientific platformsArts et Métiers the expertise of the laboratory's doctoral students and researchers."."

This opportunity allowed future engineers to broaden their skills by working on emerging manufacturing machines and platforms at the MSMP laboratory and its industrial partners (Safran, Stil, Saint-Gobain, IRT, Engie, and Thyssen-Krupp) in the fields of 3D printing, foundry, Industry 4.0 machining, material characterization, and advanced processes.

They were also given the opportunity to benefit from international practices in innovation and technological development.

The students were supported in their research by Mohamed El Mansori, director of the MSMP laboratory, co-director of AM², and faculty members Régis Kubler, Hossein Ramezani Dana, Ahmed Ktari, Ricardo Knoblauch, Jean-Patrick Goulmy, DorianDepriester, Myriam Dumont, Mohamed-Fares Slim, Sébastien Jégou, and Michael Boinet.
