Simon Dousset has a doctorate Arts et Métiers is an experienced mountain biker. Drawing on his expertise in force sensors developed during his thesis, he createdSportOptim, which designs connected pedals for bicycles.
After studying mechanical engineering at ENS Cachan, Simon Dousset wrote a thesis on the impact of hail on aeronautical structures. Drawing on his experience with force sensors and wanting to combine his professional project with his passion for cycling, he founded CyclOptim in 2019. The startup has designed a prototype of connected pedals for amateur cyclists. These pedals measure and analyze performance in real time: power output, efficiency of effort, right/left leg balance, etc.
"The idea was really to combine my professional skills with my passion, cycling."
