For more than 20 years, the Junior Enterprise on the Paris campus has supported numerous startups while offering paid assignments to engineering students from all campuses.

Offers tailored to startups

When starting a business, it is important to ensure that the company can enter the desired market by offering added value compared to its competitors. AMJE Paris therefore offers its services to entrepreneurs during this critical phase.

“Thanks to what we learned at school, our technical feasibility studies are highly valued by our clients, who are looking for clear and reliable answers.” Hugo Caudal, Sales Manager.

The Junior Enterprise on the Paris campus stands out from other organizations because it offers comprehensive support:
After conducting market research on a particular field of activity, startups can ask engineering students to design their product.
After conducting a technology benchmark, students often propose mechanical designs or 3D models.

Tailored support for entrepreneurs

AMJE Paris pays close attention to the customer experience in all phases of the project. The junior enterprise recently supported the startup Caps Me, whose co-founder, Thibault Louvet, is a student Arts et Métiers.

caps me

CAPS ME is a young French start-up whose goal was to develop a solution for easily refilling reusable coffee capsules. By drastically increasing the life cycle of coffee capsules, the start-up is committed to reducing the ecological and economic impact of traditional disposable capsules.

After making contact on theAMJE Paris website, the two founders specified their requirements before arriving at a complete set of specifications and a commercial proposal in less than a week. CAPS ME was seeking to obtain the "Made in France" origin marking, so Hugo Maurice, an engineering student, was recruited to carry out this industrial benchmarking. Throughout the study, meetings enabled the startup to monitor the progress of the project until the deliverables were handed over.

“The fresh perspective of the participants brings innovative ideas to most of the issues addressed. Working with a JE means working with the engineers of tomorrow.” Charles Lannegrace, President of AMJE Paris

This tailored support, which is very close to customers, attracts many startups, including recently Adriver and Boréales Energy.

Real added value for students

Completing a mission also represents real educational and professional added value for students. As a result, companies sometimes wish to recruit (for internships and/or jobs) individuals who have successfully completed projects, so that they can continue working on these issues and tackle new ones.

The Junior Enterprise experience also gives a huge boost to the early careers of all students, especially members of the association, as they already have experience working with professionals and meeting the associated requirements.

Assignments within the Arts et Métiers environment

The Junior Enterprise of Paris can count on the expertise of its teachers and the wealth of technical resources at its disposal. In addition, the organization operates in the rich and innovative environmentArts et Métiers, with structures such asthe School's incubator, SOCE, and AMVALOR. It is in this favorable context that AMJE Paris exceeded €100,000 in revenue this year while training 58 participants. To date, 42 studies have been entrusted to the school's engineering students for major accounts such as Michelin, Setec, EDF, and RATP, as well as for French SMEs/mid-cap companies and startups!
