Yannick and Garrett obtained their Specialized Master's® in Change Management and Sustainable Innovation at the end of 2021. These two forty-somethings, one with 20 years of experience in industry and services and the other with 15 years in banking, have just co-founded AGYLEO, a consulting firm. Their proposal: to make sustainable development (CSR, circular economy) a tool that enables companies to protect their value and boost their employer brand.
They both left their previous jobs with plans to start their own businesses in sustainable development, Yannick in the short term and Garrett in the longer term, who is initially considering salaried employment. They opted for the MS Manager of Change and Sustainable Innovation (MCID) program, which they saw as a way to acquire solid technical skills thanks to the wide range of tools offered in the field of sustainable innovation.
The MS is all the more relevant today in a context of crisis because it provides keys that we believe are extremely concrete and perfectly applicable.
Sustainability: a solution, but also an opportunity for businesses
After completing their master's degrees, they decided to join forces to create AGYLEO because, for them, today " Sustainable development is a solution, but it is also an opportunity.. Cost is considered an obstacle to the implementation of an environmental approach.
within the company, but this approach creates opportunities.
We offer to support companies in line with their profitability objectives. The circular economy is a definite driver of economic performance, but it needs to be explained.
Mastery of the economic dimension can thus be achieved with the support of its various pillars, which function as truly complementary, even inseparable, tools. We also propose to make companies autonomous by providing them with a different vision, a life cycle vision that will naturally reveal areas for improvement.
Convincing companies of the relevance of integrating an environmental approach
Yannick likes to cite the example of screws: "Until now, to secure its supply, a manufacturer would use multiple suppliers for the same screw reference. But if today the problem is that there is no metal to manufacture screws, we have to go back up the chain to ask where the metal comes from, engage in eco-design, ask whether the screw needs to be made of metal, whether we really need a screw, whether we really need this product... That's where the circular economy comes in."
Today's difficult context is encouraging greater focus on the circular economy. "However, it still needs to be explained properly, because the gains and benefits of implementing this approach are medium- to long-term and sometimes require dealing with short-term constraints. But the health crisis and recent economic upheavals clearly highlight the relevance of such an approach."
Despite this, prospecting is necessary to launch this activity, which began in early January. Garrett in Valence and Yannick in Aix-les-Bains are in constant contact for all the "off" work and meet for company appointments which, while they may not necessarily lead to concrete results, always generate very positive feedback...

It is led by a teacher who offers around 15 hours of support to project leaders. It is tailored to the type of project and its stage of development. Particular attention is paid to ensuring that the project is suited to the profile of the student entrepreneur(s). The teacher also directs the student to the relevant contacts.
