On December 7, 2017, starting at 5:00 p.m., the 4th edition of the Chal'enge Challenge will be launched at the IUT in Chalon-sur-Saône. This competition is open to students fromthe Institut Image, the IUT in Chalon-sur-Saône, and companies in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region.

The Institut Image, affiliated with the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Cluny, is inviting itsMaster of Science and second-yearMaster of Science students in “Digital Engineering” from the “3D Interactive Technology Management ” program to participate in this Challenge for the fourth consecutive year. They won’t be alone, as students from other institutions are also entering the competition:

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nicéphore Cité —a hub for digital engineering, image, and sound—and the Greater Chalon metropolitan area created this challenge to

  • strengthen ties between academia and industry,
  • introduce students to the challenges and demands they will face after graduation,
  • open up new economic opportunities for businesses through the use of digital technologies, and thus promote these technologies.

On December 7, 2017, students and challengers will invite local businesses to an evening presentation of their respective institutions' activities. Together, they will define the specifications for a demonstration. They will then have two weeks (from January 17 to 30, 2018) to work in pairs to create this demonstration for participating companies. Finally, the demonstrations will be presented at Nicéphore Cité on February 1, 2018, at 4 p.m. before a jury composed of companies and elected officials from Greater Chalon, with three prizes to be awarded at the end:

  • an economic opportunity cost
  • a convincing price
  • and an audience award.
