AMVALOR: identifying and responding to industry needs

Since 2016, Arts et Métiers a subsidiary dedicated to technology transfer and the commercialization of its research results. The institution has thus established itself as an ally to companies in their innovation efforts.

As a public scientific, cultural, and professional institution (EPCSCP), Arts et Métiers mission Arts et Métiers promoting research results ( products, materials, processes, expertise), technology transfer, and technical assistance to industry. Since 2016, the institution has had a company dedicated to this ambition: AMVALOR, which handles around 700 industrial contracts per year.

A comprehensive and tailored range of services

"With the creation of AMVALOR, we are reintegrating into the Arts et Métiers group Arts et Métiers essential mission of the school's strategic project: collaboration between laboratories and industry to accelerate innovation and the transformation of our research into economic value," explains Ivan Iordanoff, Deputy Director of Research.

What is AMVALOR's role? To identify companies' needs in terms of technological developments and innovation, in order to mobilize scientific and technical teams to come up with appropriate responses. The subsidiary thus implements a wide range of solutions: partnership-based research collaborations (direct contractual research with companies and collaborative research), studies, measurements and tests, expertise and consulting, technology watch operations, and the organization of thematic events (seminars, symposiums, conferences, etc.). Its teams coordinate, set up, and manage projects in close collaboration with industry.
