Adélaïde Fleury, who is based on the Paris campus, is a project manager for CAIRE, which develops civic education programs on artificial intelligence. 

 I am convinced of the urgent need to teach AI users to reflect on how they use AI, to become aware of its impacts, and to understand the challenges involved in designing these systems

Can you introduce yourself in a few words and explain your role at CAIRE?

After five years in gamified education and digital professional training, I was initially intrigued—and even concerned—to see the growing role AI was playing in our daily lives, and I wanted to understand how it works so I could better grasp it. So it was only natural that I joined the CAIRE project in late 2025 as a project manager atArts et Métiers.

In conjunction with WP2 and WP3, I am working on rolling out training programs across the institution’s 12 campuses: I coordinate the organization of training sessions for students and staff, the recruitment and training of instructors, the implementation of certification, and the monitoring of learning pathways. At the same time, I collaborate with the communications teams to promote the project internally and ensure CAIRE’s presence at various industry trade shows. Finally, I support our distributor, AMTalents, in ensuring the project’s long-term sustainability by marketing the training programs to companies.

What particularly motivates you about this project?

What immediately drew me to the CAIRE project was its ethical and responsible approach to raising public awareness about AI. In a societal context where we are constantly bombarded with the many ways people use AI in their daily lives—often linked to optimization and performance—I am convinced of the urgent need to teach users to reflect on how they use AI, to become aware of its impacts, and to understand the issues behind the design of these systems. 

Any resources you would recommend on AI?

When we talk about educational media, we often forget that games are a great way to learn while having fun.

Designed to let everyone experiment with machine learning and deep learning, “While True: Learn() ” is a small, independent puzzle game that puts you in the shoes of a computer scientist trying to program a language interface between cats and humans. Using machine learning, artificial neural networks, and big data, you refine your AI system step by step through various puzzles, while also discovering the resource optimization strategies involved in its creation. At the end of each level, you’ll find explanations of the concepts covered in the game, along with relevant resources for further learning. And all without having to write a single line of code!

In my opinion, it's a must-do for anyone from 7 to 77 who wants to understand how AI works!
