AM Santé 2026 Seminar: Another Successful Event!

AM Santé Lille 2026
News

On Wednesday, May 20, 2026, the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Lille hosted the annual AM Santé seminar, bringing together researchers, clinicians, institutional partners, and leaders in health innovation. This third edition of the annual seminar was a success and marks an important milestone in the development of the AM Santé initiative.

AM Santé: Heading to the Hauts-de-France region for the 2026 seminar

A seminar open to the public and rooted in the local community

For the first time, the AM Santé seminar—which had previously been held on the Arts et Métiers campuses Arts et Métiers Paris and Aix-en-Provence—was open to participants from outside Arts et Métiers. This major change reflects a commitment to structuring and expanding the AM Santé ecosystem in collaboration with local stakeholders.

This initiative is fully in line with the goals of the Hauts-de-France region, which is strongly committed to supporting research and innovation in healthcare.

The seminar featured a series of high-level presentations on key issues, including:

  • The Role of Digital Technology in Healthcare Pathways
  • innovations in biomedical engineering
  • the development of digital twins for the early detection of diseases

These themes all demonstrate AM Santé’s ability to bring together complementary areas of expertise to address medical challenges.

Concrete and promising research projects

Several projects, including many developed byArts et Métiers laboratories and research teams,Arts et Métiers recognized:

  • VA ECMO in Cardiogenic Shock: A Systems Approach to Physiological and Technical Challenges, led by Benoît Brassart
  • Ex vivo preservation and rehabilitation of heart grafts: perfusion systems and technological prospects, led by Alysée Méhauté
  • The TWIN IN project, led by Pierre Yves Rohan (IBHGC at the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Paris), was also presented; its goal is to develop multi-scale digital twins to improve the early detection of tissue damage.
  • The work of the L2EP laboratory in Lille also contributed to the discussion, particularly through Frédéric Giraud’s presentation on an innovative low-frequency ultrasound device designed for the early diagnosis of pressure ulcers.

Fruitful discussions and opportunities for collaboration

Beyond the scientific presentations, the seminar served as a genuine forum for dialogue among academics, hospital staff, and institutional partners. Some students from the campus even joined the group during the day!

Arts et Métiers in particular the team responsible for the development of AM Santé, would like to thank all the partners who contributed to the success of this event, including:

  • Lille University Hospital, for ongoing partnerships
  • the Hauts-de-France Region, for its support and involvement in this event
  • the Pasteur Institute in Lille, for the high quality of its presentations and discussions, which will lead to future collaborations
  • BPI France, for its interest in the projects and its participation in this event

As well as all the speakers, researchers, and project leaders involved.

A trend that is set to grow

The success of this new, expanded edition confirms the growth potential of the AM Santé initiative. By strengthening synergies between engineering and healthcare and establishing itself within a dynamic regional ecosystem, AM Santé aims to make a lasting contribution to the medical innovations of tomorrow.

See you next year for the 4th edition, when AM Santé will continue its tour of the campuses!
