ParolesArts et Métiers is back with a new episode: Conversation with Hiba Lazeregue, PhD studentArts et Métiers : research into materials and involvement in the community life of PhD students and doctors.

In ParolesArts et Métiers, we talk about industry, innovation, transitions, health, materials, new technologies, and many other topics related to engineering sciences and Arts et Métiers. Everyone in the Arts et Métiers community—students, staff, and alumni—is involved in the adventure. In each episode, designed and hosted by Carole Wahnoun, a research engineer on the Paris campus, with technical support from Jean-Marc Rousseau, Multimedia Designer and Producer at ICIFTech, a new guest discusses a topic that is important to them in relation to Arts et Métiers we take the time to share it with our listeners.

In this episode, we meet Hiba Lazeregue, a doctoral student—and soon-to-be doctor—at the Processes and Engineering in Mechanics and Materials Laboratory (PIMM) located on the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Paris. She will discuss her research work on materials, of course, but also her career path and her projects.

Biography of Hiba Lazeregue

An engineer who graduated in 2020 from the National Polytechnic School of Algiers, specializing in Materials Science, Hiba Lazeregue has gained professional experience in various engineering companies in Algeria.  

She obtained a Master's degree in Materials Science from the University of Rouen in 2021.  

Since 2022, she has been a doctoral student at the Laboratory of Processes and Engineering in Mechanics and Materials (PIMM) as part of a thesis developed with the CIFRE program (Industrial Agreements for Training through Research) on "The Study of Mechanisms of Degradation of the Aesthetic and Anti-Corrosion Properties of Automotive Paints."  

Her thesis is being supervised by Bruno Fayolle, a lecturer and researcher in the Polymers & Composites team at PIMM. As part of her thesis, she is also working with Stellantis, a global automotive manufacturer and provider of innovative mobility solutions, where she is a materials engineer.  

From 2022 to 2023, Hiba Lazeregue served as president ofthe Association ofArts et Métiers Doctors and Doctoral StudentsArts et Métiers ADDAM) and remains heavily involved in this association.
