Deputy Director General of the École nationale supérieureArts et Métiers, Véronique Favier coordinates the development of Evolutive Learning Factories, factory schools that will be present on allArts et Métiers campuses. She is also the scientific director of the JENII project (Jumeaux d’Enseignement Numériques Immersifs et Interactifs, or Immersive and Interactive Digital Teaching Twins) in partnership with the Cnam, CESI, and CEA Tech. 

Véronique Favier earned her degree from an engineering school in Grenoble and holds a Ph.D. in Materials Engineering and Science from the Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble. After working in the field of polymer mechanics at the École des Mines de Nancy, she joined the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Metz in 1997 as an associate professor. She obtained her habilitation to supervise research in 2005 on the viscoplasticity of steels and joined the Paris campus in 2007, where she helped establish the Master of Science and Engineering Science. Appointed full professor in 2010, she served as director from 2018 to 2022 of the Processes and Engineering in Mechanics and Materials Laboratory, a Joint Research Unit involving Arts et Métiers, the CNRS, and the CNAM. Véronique Favier is a member of theArts et Métiers Board of Directors,Arts et Métiers she served as Vice President from 2016 to 2017.
