Christophe Olivier arrived on Friday, September 1, before the students returned to school, as educational coordinator, in charge of developing continuing education for AMTALENTS.
What is your background?
Over the past 12 years, I have been responsible for developing a program and creating several courses, all focused on web development.
Instructional design, certification management, teaching, recruiting and managing a teaching team, chairing examination boards... It has been an exciting experience that has complemented my previous career as a communications director specializing in digital technology.
But after 12 years in private higher education and professional training, I was ready for a new challenge, and three months after leaving my previous job, I was delighted to be recruited by the institute in Chambéry.
What made you decide to apply to Arts et Métiers
First, there is the prestige of the brand. But I was really attracted by the tasks on offer: the fact that they are cross-functional, involving the coordination of existing training programs as well as the development of continuing education. There is something to build, it's a new challenge, and that appeals to me, as I am more of an intrapreneur at heart. I really enjoy being entrusted with the development of a project and seeing it through to maturity.
At the Chambéry institute, I met a particularly friendly and welcoming team, right from the recruitment process. The quality of human relations is also very important when taking on a new assignment.
Now it's up to me to make my way within this school!
What are your responsibilities?
Initially, I will be working on the Environmental Engineering and Risk Management (EGR) program. I am also responsible for coordinating the teaching of the institute's two Specialized Master's® programs: Manager of Change and Sustainable Innovation (MCID) and Expert in Sustainable Construction and Housing (CHD).
