Arts et Métiers the Moroccan Ministry of Industry and Trade join forces to createthe Arts et Métiers Rabat (EAMR)

The Ministry of Industry and Trade and Arts et Métiers are joining forces to create theEcole Arts et Métiers in Rabat (EAMR) to train future leaders in Morocco's responsible industries.

The Arts et Métiers in Rabat is the culmination of a shared vision and ambition: to meet the needs of businesses in Morocco and support them in their transition to a responsible and sustainable industry of the future, according to a joint statement issued by both parties.

EAMR will award diplomas of excellence starting in the 2023 academic year, supported by an applied teaching approach that will put students into action in an evolving industrial-level learning factory, in which digital technology will play a central role. EAMR's teacher-researchers will develop academic research, partnership-based research, and innovation activities to help industry improve its skills and performance.

"We cannot make the transition without equipping young people with new skills to build sustainable infrastructure and smart cities. Arts et Métiers delighted to see the completion of this highly ambitious joint development project with the Ministry of Industry and Trade," said Laurent Champaney, CEOArts et Métiers.

The climate emergency and societal expectations require rapid changes in technology and expertise. EAMR aims to contribute to this by training leaders in responsible industries who design and implement the impactful technological and organizational innovations that are essential to environmental and societal energy transitions.

To this end, Arts et Métiers to encouraging and supporting industrial research by companies in Morocco and welcoming industrial startups with the creation of an incubator on the Rabat campus.

Ultimately, EAMR will have 1,000 students, with graduating classes of approximately 200 engineers and 200 vocational bachelor's degree students per year.
