Thotti’AM, a new challenge in southern India
In 2023, the new team at the HUM'AM association is turning its attention to India to develop new skills. The Thotti'AM project will be carried out in southern India, specifically in the Tamil Nadu region. The main objective of this project is to support the village of Thottiapatti and its surrounding area by constructing a building where young people can attend evening classes as part of their education. This building will also house a training center for women. The empowerment of women in India is an issue that is close to the heart of the 2023 team. The training courses offered will improve their employability and enable them to develop their independence within their culture.
In addition, as Thottiapatti's main activity is agriculture, the HUM'AM association wishes to renovate a water reservoir with a capacity of approximately 18 million liters in order to support 224 farmers, 256 families, and more than 200 hectares of arable land.
