On Tuesday, October 18, the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Lille hosted the sixth edition of the "Internship Forum," attended by 13 corporate sponsors and partners of the school: Alstom, ArcelorMittal, EDF Hauts-de-France, Hermès, Kaizen Institute Western Europe, L'Oréal, MC2i, MOV'NTEC, Savencia, Schlumberger, Schneider Electric, Veolia, and VINCI Energies.

Organized by the Office of Corporate and External Relations in the beautiful, listed building of La Centrale, the event saw nearly 200 second- and third-year students from theGrande Ecole Program and Specialized Master's programs visit the various company stands throughout the afternoon.

This was an opportunity for them to talk to graduate engineers (some of whom were Gadzarts) about their various sectors and fields of activity, their career paths, and their assignments, but also to meet recruiters to present their career plans and find their end-of-second-year internship or end-of-study internship.

Dorine Van Der Waals, head of corporate and external relations for the Arts et Métiers campus and organizer of the event, is delighted with its success: " After two years of virtual internship forums, it's great to have our partners and sponsors back on campus. The students turned out in large numbers and seemed very happy with the organization of this forum for them. We can say that it was a success! "

Thank you to all the partners and sponsors present, as well as to the students who got involved.

They testify

Thomas, a second-year student, enjoyed the event. He was able to talk with Vinci Énergies, which selected him as a student ambassador for the 2022-2023 academic year: " I will be in closer contact with this company in the near future to promote their internship opportunities to first- and second-year students. Personally, it will also help me choose one of their branches for my end-of-year internship."

Nolwen, also a second-year student , came to get a first taste of the program: " It broadened my horizons and gave me the opportunity to think about and discuss career prospects that I hadn't necessarily considered before."

Romane, a second-year student, enjoyed being able to talk freely with the companies and Gadz'Arts representatives present: " It was really interesting to learn about the internal organization of companies and discover different sectors of activity. It helps us refine our preferences. Personally, I really fell in love with one company and one internship offer in particular, so I think I'll be preparing my application very soon!"

Jérémy ROSAMOND, Human Resources Manager at Savencia, says: " This forum is a great opportunity for us to showcase our activities to future engineering graduates. We have factories in the dairy, cheese, and chocolate industries, and we recruit interns in the Paris region, as well as nationally and internationally, for positions in production, supply chain, and continuous improvement. Among all the interesting conversations I had with students today, two profiles caught my attention and really match the internships we offer. So it's been a good day!"
