The AM² Synergetic Research Initiation Workshop was held on October 14 as part of the AM² Transatlantic Partnership for the Industry of the Future. AM² Transatlantic Partnership for the Industry of the Futurebetween TEES/TAMU, Arts et Métiers Professor Satish Bukkaptnam's Tocqueville-Fulbright AM² Chair.

This seminar brought together assistant and associate professors fromArts et Métiers TEES/TAMU to forge scientific and thematic links with a view to strengthening collaborative research. Around 30 people took part in this virtual workshop.

The first part provided an overview of the AM² partnership between TEES/TAMU and Arts et Métiers presented the prospects for the future, addressing:
- academic exchanges (dual degrees) and scientific exchanges (visiting professors, Fulbright-Tocqueville Chair in the presence of Satish Bukkaptnam),
- IRES projects (
International Research Experiences for students),
- DeepTechTalk webinars,
- the joint research platform (CPER, companies) with TEES currently recruiting a senior research engineer who will be based on the Aix-en-Provence campus.

MSMP Tees Seminar

This initiative also enabled 17 faculty members (8 from the Arts et Métiers campuses Arts et Métiers and Chalons and 9 associate/assistant professors from TEES/TAMU) to share the results of their research in the form of short presentations (4 minutes) in the fields of advanced manufacturing, materials science, and the mechanical behavior of materials and structures. This was followed by discussions aimed at initiating future collaborations involving junior and senior professors.
