Since 2008, several manufacturers and institutions in the South region (Arts et Métiers, AMU, Mines ParisTech, Airbus, EDF, SMEs, high schools, etc.) have been pooling their skills and technological resources (INOVSYS platform, Team Henri Fabre, etc.) with the aim of making investment requests on the themes of Industry of the Future.

Today, this ecosystem, led by Team Henri Fabre is imagining the industry of tomorrow by launchingeducational innovation projects.

An innovative training program on the industry of the future

The "Employment-HR-Training Platform" project (or PERF Henri-Fabre) is part of this dynamic, with the aim of:

  • identify the needs of manufacturers in key sectors and launch a series of initiatives,
  • adapting the training program (developing innovative teaching tools, creating modules on new skills).

This project was developed in collaboration with Team Henri Fabre, Jean Perrin High School in Marseille, Rouvière High School in Toulon, and CFAI in Istres. It is supported by the Campus des Métiers et des Qualifications Industrie du Futur Henri-Fabreand has been allocated €8.7 million (including €4.7 million for equipment and €4 million for educational engineering) to develop an innovative training program on the industry of the future.

The campus expands its "mechatronics" teaching platform

In this context, each of the players has invested in equipment that enables the implementation of innovative teaching tools (e.g., visible collaborative touch screens) and strengthens their teaching platforms. This is the case at the Aix-en-Provence campus, which is enhancing its "mechatronics" teaching platform with a machining center that will be used to prototype, experiment with, and teach new "mechatronics" approaches for active control of machining processes (i.e., "smart manufacturing system").

Like all educational activities at Arts et Métiers, these facilities are closely linked to the activities of the research laboratories (Lispen and MSMP).
