This Master's program was created to address the challenges of a safe nuclear industry. Players in the French nuclear sector do not skimp on safety. However, following the Fukushima accident, a series of measures were taken to strengthen the safety requirements for nuclear facilities.
It is within this framework that this Master's program enables students to acquire the key skills of a nuclear safety engineer.

Who is this specialized Master's degree for?

This Specialized Master's® program is intended for employees, students, and job seekers.

Candidates must have a five-year degree or a four-year degree if they can demonstrate at least three years of professional experience.

In order for candidates to be able to follow this Master's program with confidence, it is preferable that their previous studies be in the field of engineering sciences.

For which professions

The nuclear safety expert's main task is to study risks that could jeopardize the safety of facilities. He or she also defines prevention, protection, and monitoring measures.

They can carry out their duties in all companies in the nuclear sector: large companies or subcontractors, in factories, in various facilities under construction, in production, shut down, or undergoing decommissioning. They can also work in research organizations and organizations that control and monitor nuclear activities.

Today, the nuclear industry is recruiting because there is a huge need for qualified personnel, whether for the maintenance of existing facilities, the construction of EPRs, or even decommissioning.

Working in nuclear safety tomorrow means participating in a collective project: building a post-carbon society.
