Arts et Métiers the University of Corsica Pasquale Paoli signed a five-year partnership agreement on Friday, September 13, 2019, enabling Paoli Tech, the university's internal engineering school and the only engineering-level institution in Corsica, to join the " Arts et Métiers " network.

Arts et Métiers, a major institution dedicated to technology, has a unique regional network for industrial development thanks to its 11 locations. It is a socio-economic player serving regions and businesses. This strong regional presence now enables it to offer educational programs and research topics tailored to local industrial challenges.

Present in Corsica since 2000, Arts et Métiers has been able to develop relationships with academic and regional partners. It now wishes to deepen this cooperation and mobilize its expertise in the service of Corsica's economic development, with a view to regional planning.

Creation of a Bachelor's degree in technology

Sharing common interests, Arts et Métiers Paoli Tech wish to use this agreement to establish cooperation initiatives on topics related to teaching, research, innovation, and technology transfer.
In terms of teaching, a Bachelor of Technology degree will be created, open to applicants with a high school diploma in STI2D technology, leading to intermediate management skills in the industrial field.

In addition, Paoli Tech 's engineering program will be open to Arts et Métiers students Arts et Métiers a Bachelor of Technology degree.
A continuing education program will also be developed, based on each individual's expertise and in line with the needs expressed by the industrial sector.

Collaboration in the energy sector and the wood industry

With complementary activities in these areas and shared challenges, Arts et Métiers Paoli Tech intend to promote the emergence of cross-disciplinary training programs. Ultimately, this will lead to greater access for students from both schools to spend a semester gaining expertise at the partner institution.

Joint research programs

Arts et Métiers Paoli Tech have complementary technological platforms and scientific expertise, particularly in the fields of energy and wood. This partnership agreement will therefore enable joint research programs to be developed, enriching the educational offerings of both institutions. Where appropriate, this may take the form of research chairs.

Joint industrial relations

By joining the Arts et Métiers network, Paoli Tech will be able to operate its entire business offering in conjunction with Arts et Métiers. This offering has been designed to enable institutions to support local businesses in their growth challenges through services that facilitate the development of partnership-based research and initial and continuing education programs, ensuring that students receive training that addresses real-world challenges.
This service offering includes the creation of training chairs, research chairs, professional training contracts, open innovation competitions, student projects, and more.
