VAPP

Recognition of professional and personal experience

The VAPP is a regulatory program established in 1985. It allows anyone, regardless of their educational background, to enroll in a degree program without holding the qualifications or diplomas typically required, provided they can demonstrate significant experience related to the program in question.

Compiling and Evaluating the VAPP Application at Arts et Métiers

The VAPP program allows individuals to pursue higher education without necessarily holding the qualifications or degrees required for admission to the desired program, based on a review panel’s recognition of the skills acquired through professional experience.
VAPP applicants must submit an application package in which they present and analyze the skills and knowledge acquired throughout their professional and personal careers. They must also demonstrate their ability to pursue higher-level education.
This application must be accompanied by supporting documents (proof of experience, professional documents, certificates, etc.) to demonstrate the authenticity and relevance of the applicant’s qualifications.
Once the application is finalized, it is submitted for review by anArts et Métiers academic committeeArts et Métiers faculty members and program directors. This committee meets twice a year, in December and June, and verifies, evaluates, and certifies the presented qualifications before rendering a decision on the requested validation.

Cost of the VAPP program at Arts et Métiers

The fee for this process is set at 300 euros, which is non-refundable regardless of the outcome.
This process is generally self-funded; however, for employees, their employer may cover the cost.
