As part of Industry Week, the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers is mobilizing to promote industry and its professions to the general public, and more specifically to young people. Discover Dimitri Pleplé's sporting and human adventure as part of his extraordinary project "L'indus'trip": a bicycle, factories and people during a conference to be held at the Angers campus on Monday, March 18, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Today, with the "French Fab" movement, industry has a new banner to show the French and the world the modern face of French industry! But what is the reality of this industry? What are its professions?

On Monday, March 18 at 6:00 p.m., the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers is hosting a lecture with Dimitri Pleplé on careers in the industry of tomorrow.

This conference recounts Dimitri Pleplé's sporting and human adventure as part of his extraordinary project, "L’indus’trip." A 10-week tour of France by bicycle in 2017, to visit French factories and meet the men and women who work there!

In a nutshell: 2,800 km by bike, 33 factories, and over 100 testimonials.

Conference open to the general public, registration required. 

I decided to cycle around France visiting factories to showcase the work of everyone employed in industry, to give them a voice, to understand the industrial processes involved, and to share my experience.

Conference led byDimitri Pleplé, graduateof Ecole Centrale Paris and currently workshop manager at LACROIX City. Passionate about sports and industry, Dimitri Pleplé embarked in May 2017 on a 10-week tour of France by bicycle to visit French factories and meet the people behind them: "l'Indus'trip."
