Currently director of the Aquitaine site of IRT Saint-Exupéry, Xavier Aubard has been appointed director of the Bordeaux campus ofArts et Métiers Laurent Champaney, CEO of the institution.
A graduate of the École Normale Supérieure and holder of a doctorate fromParis 6 University, Xavier Aubard has had a distinguished industrial and managerial career within the Safran group, while continuing to be involved in training and managing technological research projects in collaboration with university laboratories.
Aware of the issues and challenges involved in positioningArts et Métiers the industry of the future, he plans to develop the strengths of the Aquitaine campus, the momentum of its training programs, and partnerships with industry and local communities.
Xavier Aubard will take up his position at the start of the new academic year in September 2017.
