The visit to the Factory, an iconic location for VINCI Energies' innovation model, organized by Arts et Métiers 2019, enabled AMJE Paris to understand how the Group operates and its areas of activity. This meeting led to a partnership between the Junior Study Group and VINCI Energies, a sponsorArts et Métiers 2018.
Support for entrepreneurship
Initiated by Emma Chabrol (Head of Business Development at AMJE Paris 2019-2020) and continued by Neder Malouche (Sales Manager at AMJE Paris 2020-2021), the partnership between AMJE Paris and VINCI Energies was signed in January 2021 during a meeting with Christophe Bidel (Director at VINCI Energies for the North-West Ile-de-France region).
VINCI Energies, a major player in digital transformation and energy transition, wants to support students in entrepreneurship and will therefore help accelerate and strengthen the development of the Junior Enterprise.
The first major area we identified for collaboration was reducing the group's CO2 emissions by 40% by 2030.
According to Emma Chabrol: "It quickly became clear when talking to Christophe that we could forge links betweenArts et Métiers studentsArts et Métiers VINCI companies by developing joint projects. He had had this idea in mind for several years, but had not yet found the right person to talk to. When he learned about the activities of the Junior Enterprise, he immediately saw the potential synergies we could create. The first major area we identified for collaboration was reducing the group's CO2 emissions by 40% by 2030. This ambitious goal had to start with identifying the sources of the group's emissions and quantifying them."
Christophe Bidel explains:
We have signed a partnership agreement with the Junior EtudeArts et Métiers the aim of helping it promote its services within VINCI Energies. This partnership is unique, natural, and strong. It bridges the gap between different needs: that of VINCI Energies and its companies to commit to reducing their environmental impact, and that of young Arts et Métiers students Arts et Métiers participate in this overall ambition.
An innovative and environmentally friendly approach driven by this collaboration
In order to actively engage in building the society of tomorrow, AMJE Paris has set up a CSR division in close collaboration with the Confédération Nationale des Junior-Entreprises (National Confederation of Junior Enterprises) and the OxyJEne investment fund, and has developed its Environmental Impact Reduction offering. The Junior Enterprise thus shares the environmental awareness of the VINCI Group, which aims to reduce its carbon emissions.
In line with the commitments made by the VINCI Group and AMJE Paris, the Junior Enterprise conducted a study for VINCI Facilities, a subsidiary of VINCI Energies. It carried out an energy consumption assessment and made recommendations to reduce the carbon impact at three of the subsidiary's sites.
Neder Malouche:
This commercial collaboration allows us to refine our support methodology in order to provide a service that meets the requirements of large companies such as VINCI Energies. It also gives us an opportunity to test our entrepreneurial ideas in the field of CSR against the realities and challenges of the professional world.
Following this study, the Junior Enterprise competed for the VINCI Group's Environmental Award. This competition aims to reward initiatives and best practices by VINCI employees around the world. AMJE Paris presented a summary video showcasing the initiative carried out for VINCI Facilities, as well as the new needs that the structure can meet.
Satisfied with the results of this collaboration, Vinci Facilities commissioned a second study to continue the assessment at other sites.
AMJE Paris allows us to move much faster and go much further than we could have done on our own. It allows us to show younger generations our commitment to CSR issues. I hope this initiative will have as many offspring as possible," Christophe Bidel
