Aix-en-Provence welcomed the Olympic flame on Sunday, May 12, 2024.

More than a thousand Gadz'Arts, coming from all over France, took part in this celebration to bring the Olympic spirit to life in their own way.

It was a unique moment that we will remember for the rest of our lives.

as testified by engineering students, alumni, staff, and the director of the Aix campus, joined by the CEO for the occasion.

The students, dressed in uniform, marched in single file from the campus, down the famous Cours Mirabeau to the iconic Rotonde fountain, to form a guard of honor, a symbol of brotherhood, respect, and mutual aid, and to welcome the Olympic torch with panache.

They also proudly presented the people of Aix with seven Olympic torches made in the Arts et Métiers campus workshops, demonstrating their expertise and ingenious creativity.

We would like to thank the city of Aix-en-Provence for allowing them to enjoy this unique experience and congratulate the organizing team, made up of students and alumni, for their flawless coordination of this event!
