A look back at three years of initiatives with VINCI Energies, the school's sponsor!
2018–2021: Three years of initiatives to promote VINCI Energies to Arts et Métiers students!
Signed in 2018 for a period of three years, this sponsorship aims to promote the image of VINCI Energies and its business model among Arts et Métiers students. As part of this initiative, several events have been held on the school's various campuses to enable students to meet the company's teams, including conferences, business lunches, participation in internship forums, and site visits. On the Metz, Lille, and Châlons campuses, the libraries were decorated in the company's colors. " For a month, our students were able to discover VINCI Energies through videos and various communication materials. HR and operational managers then held office hours in a friendly atmosphere to allow for informal exchanges, which the students really enjoyed. " notes Dorine Van Der Waals, corporate relations manager in Lille.
In fact, all Arts et Métiers students are covered by this sponsorship agreement. " We therefore invited VINCI Energies to come and meet our students on the Specialized Master® in New Energy Management program. The students were given a presentation on the group and its business lines, followed by a networking session with the sponsor's team ," explains Dorine Van Der Waals.
Finally, student ambassadors are appointed to represent sponsors. Their role is to promote corporate events to their fellow students and to publicize internship opportunities.
Varying activities to keep the partnership alive: an online escape game
After more than two years of partnership, we wanted to offer an original package.
“After more than two years of partnership, we wanted to offer something original," explains Virginie Gattuso, head of the corporate relations office on the Metz campus. With the Lille and Châlons campuses, we wanted to offer a virtual escape game bringing together company staff and Arts et Métiers students. This idea immediately caught their attention."
Run by a service provider, the escape game took place on February 18 and brought together 51 participants in 10 simultaneous sessions. The aim of the game was to solve puzzles as quickly as possible in order to open the fridge. This event gave VINCI Energies the opportunity to see the students in a cooperative situation. The students were highly engaged, as they all applied to participate in the event by sending in a video explaining why they wanted to take part.
Following the escape game, students and company staff were able to discuss team cohesion during a short roundtable discussion.
This event was a success, as Amandine Moroy, head of the corporate and external relations office at the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Châlons, attests.
“I had a great time socializing with the students and enjoyed meeting students from other Arts et Métiers campuses. This experience allowed me to get to know them through a collaborative group activity."
