With the main objective of facilitating the submission of publications by faculty members.

900,000 views in 2017

Launched in 2013, SAM brings together publications from Arts et Métiers laboratories Arts et Métiers 2007. And it has been a resounding success: last year, the site, which offers more than 2,900 articles, recorded 900,000 views and 60,000 downloads, with "visitors" from all over the world: France, of course, but also the United States, Germany, China, Canada, and more.

Greater visibility for Arts et Métiers research

"SAM therefore helps to raise the profile of the workcarried out within the institution," explains Christine Ollendorff, Director of Documentation and Forecasting for the Deputy Director General in charge of training (DGAF). " What's more, itis part of the open science movement, which aims to make scientific research, data, and their dissemination accessible to all."

A simplified filing process

The site is easy to use. Researchers at the school upload their articles. Submissions are validated by librarians, who ensure that publishers' and authors' rights are respected.

But the submission process was relatively tedious. "It's much easier and faster in the new version," says Christine Ollendorff, "with features such as 'automaticsubmission' and pre-filled fields. We've also renamed thedifferent steps to make them clearer.Today, the process takes only 5 minutes, compared to 10 minutes previously."

The reference for calculating credits

Remember that SAM is the reference site for scientific assessments, recording the number of teacher-researchers producing work, and calculating credits. Articles must be submitted to this site.
