Arts et Métiers Institut Mines-Telecom inaugurated a new structuring project on December 11, 2024, on the Paris campus.

The project

RéCLasSIF (Network of Certified Campuses - Solutions for the Industry of the Future), funded to the tune of €15 million by the ANR's France 2030 program, aims to breathe new life into the industry of the future at the national level. Launched on September1, 2024, for a period of five years, this network brings together campuses of excellence to support companies' ecological, digital, and societal transitions.

Transforming French industry

The RéCLasSIF project aims to establish a national network comprising 15 campuses spread across France. This unique initiative is based on an open co-innovation strategy, bringing together businesses, academic institutions, and socio-economic partners.

It draws on industrial-scale technology platforms and cutting-edge expertise to deploy concrete solutions to the challenges of Industry 4.0. With more than 1,000 teacher-researchers and 10,000 learners involved, RéCLasSIF mobilizes these actors with varied industrial skills for a more sustainable and competitive economy.

A network serving businesses

The 15 RéCLasSIF campuses, led by Arts et Métiers Institut Mines-Télécom, function as hubs for regional, national, and international innovation. These campuses offer technological solutions and training programs tailored to the needs of businesses, from SMEs to large corporations.

The offer is structured around two main areas:

  • Portfolio of scientific projects: optimization of energy systems, artificial intelligence applied to industry, ecological transformation, and environmental assessment of products.
  • Distribution network: creation of a quality label for campuses and development of tailor-made training courses to support industrial transitions.

Each campus plays a key role in the local ecosystem, while also being part of a national strategy to disseminate and promote solutions for the industry of the future.

Structural projects

RéCLasSIF is rolling out an initial portfolio of 32 projects, structured around four strategic areas:

  • Green industry and impact metrology: design of energy-efficient systems, environmental metrology, and circular economy.
  • Internet of Things and digital infrastructure: development of digital twins and optimization of the carbon footprint of digital systems.
  • Advanced technologies for design and manufacturing: green and smart processes, production controls with low environmental impact.
  • Economic and societal transformation: strengthening skills through innovative educational tools such as augmented reality and digital twins.

Collaborative governance

The RéCLasSIF project is based on structured governance, closely involving academic, industrial, and institutional stakeholders. The various committees, made up of representativesArts et Métiers, IMT, and socio-economic partners, oversee the progress of the various actions.

In addition, five working groups bring together teams from both institutions:

  • Project focus areas
  • SIF HUB platforms: solution offerings
  • Development of the L-SIF campus service offering
  • Quality process and continuous improvement
  • Building the ecosystem

A national dashboard has been set up to monitor performance indicators by campus and propose strategic adjustments based on the results obtained. This continuous improvement approach ensures the relevance and sustainability of the actions undertaken.

This project received government funding under France 2030, reference ANR-23-INDF-0006.
