JCDecaux has joined theArts et Métiers sponsors' club. The company is already very active with students on campus!

"The sponsorship agreement that the Corporate Relations Office (BRE) has initiated with JCDecaux illustrates that a sponsorship agreement is not just a simple administrative formality," explains Anne Bacquet, Deputy Director of Corporate Relations.

Sponsorship that promotes values

"JCDecaux is a family business with values to pass on to students: being innovative while protecting the environment," she adds. "The signing of the agreement marks the beginning of a dynamic and promising alliance, paving the way for synergies that will benefit all our students."
The agreement was finalized in less than a month at the end of 2023 so that actions could be implemented quickly.
Jean-Christophe Dorp, Project Director at JCDecaux, confirms the dynamic between the two entities: "Our values are in line with thoseArts et Métiers champions sustainable economics and long-term commitment. This partnership represents an opportunity to meet, forge strong links, and demonstrate Arts et Métiers credibility and legitimacy of our industrial model to future Arts et Métiers engineers, thereby encouraging them to join us."
Anne Bacquet observes: "This collaboration is the result of the efforts of a teacher, the Corporate Relations Office, the directors of the Paris, Lille, and Bordeaux campuses, and a company enthusiastic about supportingArts et Métiers educational and social project."

A site visit and students on professional training contracts and work-study programs

Following the signing of the agreement, a visit to JCDecaux's historic site, which houses its technical functions, took place in Plaisir on November 30, 2023, with a group of students specializing in Industrial Management and Global Supply Chain (PA9). This visit gave them a better understanding of JCDecaux, its useful and service-oriented role in the city, and its virtuous model for both local authorities and citizens, which has no impact on public finances. It also showed them how they can act responsibly in this environment in the future.
In terms of education, JCDecaux recruited four PA9 students on professional training contracts in 2023. This provided an opportunity for discussions on industrial engineering topics (operations, Lean, support functions, etc.). In addition, two students from the Specialized Engineering Program in Industrial Engineering will be hired on work-study contracts starting in September 2024.

Interventions within the PTA

Jean-Christophe Dorp and other Arts et Métiers alumni Arts et Métiers the company, as well as the HR teams, are involved in the Professional Support for Students (APE) program. As a result, "over several sessions, employees from a wide range of professions, including R&D and innovation director, continuous improvement manager, bike-sharing manager, and tender response manager, presented their work to show students that it is possible to be innovative, operational, and involved in the sustainable development of our activities," he says.
JCDecaux also participates in joint events organized with other sponsors.
JCDecaux also wants to get involved in the validation of degrees. It is in this context that Jean-Christophe Dorp agreed to participate in a jury for the validation of prior learning for the Grande Ecole Program degree, as well as in the AMTALENTS advanced training jury.
Jean-Christophe Dorp is also expected to contribute to the PA9 program in the fall of 2024. He hopes to "encourage a number of employees to join the pool of temporary lecturers." His goal is to participate in high-quality education for top-level engineers with a solid background in industry and sustainable development. "We defend these shared convictions in the interests of industry and innovation, students and the school," says Jean-Christophe Dorp.
