The PLM (Product Life Cycle Management) Chair of the Future between Arts et Métiers Capgemini was inaugurated on March 4 at the school's premises.

PLM of the Future: Arts et Métiers CapGEMINI are building it together

"Preparing for the future by researching new approaches to product lifecycle management (PLM) is the goal of the 'PLM of the Future' research chair that we have just signed with CAPGEMINI," explains Frédéric Segonds, senior lecturer at the LCPI laboratory.
"This chair will enable us to increase our collaboration with CAPGEMINI and develop research, innovation, and training in the fields of PLM and Advanced Digital Modeling," adds Philippe Véron, university professor at LISPEN

The main objectives of the "PLMof the Future"chair are to:

  • Develop innovative research in the field of product lifecycle management methods and tools. This involves addressing CAPGEMINI's PLM issues in the context of theses.
Two have already begun: one on the design of augmented design environments, the other on the creative implementation of data in a distributed, modular, and heterogeneous digital engineering environment.
A third thesis topic is already being defined.

  • Promote the dissemination of the work and results developed within the framework of the chair to the national and international scientific community, to industry, and toArts et Métiers students. This communication will help attract young talent to the chair's projects.
