After graduating with a dual French-German engineering degree in August 2017, Bastien Triclot founded his start-up Zozio, where he is developing a hybrid solution for the indoor and outdoor geolocation industry. Digitalization and artificial intelligence are the keywords at Zozio, which have enabled this start-up entrepreneur to be among the nine finalists for ArcelorMittal's innovator award, whose theme is the connected factory.

Zozio, locating products in the factory of the future

The system developed by Bastien Triclot is fully in line with the factory of the future, as it addresses the issue of product traceability in industry through digitalization. The entire supply process is digitized. Products can be geolocated at the manufacturer's premises or during external transport. Thanks to artificial intelligence, manufacturers also benefit from predictive and corrective logistics for the supply of their products.

My Franco-German education at Arts et Métiers to understand the challenges facing industry and master new technologies.

Bastien Triclot pursued a dual French-German degree program starting in his first year at Arts et Métiers. After two years in France, he spent three semesters at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). As a graduateArts et Métiers KIT, Bastien Triclot benefited from a multicultural approach to engineering that enabled him to develop complementary skills: "My training at Arts et Métiers and KIT enabled me to understand the challenges facing the industry, master new technologies, and also master many technical subjects. In addition, I learned how to manage a project from start to finish: from the needs analysis to manufacturing."

Zozio, a company incubated by Arts et Métiers

While Arts et Métiers students Arts et Métiers a business creation project have the opportunity to be pre-incubated inthe Arts et Métiers incubator during their studies, Bastien Triclot joined the structure after graduating. Incubated since early 2019, he appreciates the support it provides: "I am now in contact with a network of entrepreneurs where everyone is always ready to give advice. Being incubated is also a way to get organized, with access to premises and guidance on finding funding. And finally, as the incubator is located in the heart of the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Paris, we have access to its technological platforms and research laboratories, which are at the cutting edge in France. This is an undeniable asset for developing our state-of-the-art technology at Zozio."

The winners of the ArcelorMittal Innovators Award will be announced on May 20, 2019.
