These are just some of the questions asked as part of ChangeNOW, "the ranking of the best schools for changing the world" organized by ChangeNOW and Les Échos Start in partnership with Deloitte Sustainability France. This ranking covers business and engineering schools.

Challenge yourself in a process of continuous improvement

It has two objectives: to guide students toward schools that will give them the best chance of becoming tomorrow's change makers, and to inspire all institutions to take up the ecological and social challenge by providing them with a framework for analyzing their progress in addressing these issues. For Arts et Métiers, participating in this survey is an opportunity to challenge itself and position itself in relation to other schools in a process of continuous improvement.

A cross-sectional analysis

The programs are analyzed across the board with the aim of not limiting ourselves to specialized courses in sustainable development.
The ranking is based on a questionnaire sent to the schools audited on six categories of criteria:

  • The integration of impact topics within the program;
  • The strength of the Alumni network in the impact sector;
  • The institution's strategy and exemplary nature;
  • Diversity and equal opportunities;
  • The involvement of student associations in high-impact issues;
  • Academic excellence and employability.

In 2023, 68 schools were ranked, including 35 engineering schools. Arts et Métiers in13th place, up three places from 2022. The results were published at the end of October.

Many stakeholders involved

The Data Observatory manages the collection of information concerning numerous stakeholders: SOCE, students, and certain departments such as Research, Training, Corporate Relations, Human Resources, and General Management.
To help them complete the survey and monitor the data, the Observatory sends them a standardized questionnaire with tabs for each topic.
