Xavier Kestelyn appointed Deputy Director General ofArts et Métiers charge of Training

Xavier Kestelyn, a lecturer and researcher at the Lille campus, takes up the position of Deputy Director General in charge of Training on Monday, April 3. He succeeds Laurent Champaney, who is now Director GeneralArts et Métiers.

Xavier KestelynXavier Kestelyn, a professor of electrical engineering, joined Arts et Métiers 2004. Since then, he has been involved in overseeing academic programs at the Lille campus. In particular, he has played an active role in developing the specialized tracks for third-year students in the on-campus general engineering program, and he was instrumental in establishing an Master of Science program.

Laurent Champaney has chosen to appoint a professor from the institution who is deeply involved in educational issues: "At a time when we need to consolidate our achievements and ensure that our training programs meet the needs of the industry of the future, I am delighted to be able to appoint a teacher, a professor at the school, who is directly in touch with the reality of our campuses."

As a teacher and researcher, Xavier Kestelyn is well aware of the institution's priority challenges for the coming years in terms of both initial and continuing education: "I am well aware of the need for listening, support, and teaching methods that will enable all those involved in the school to coordinate their efforts and mobilize their energy toward a common goal: for the school to establish itself as the benchmark in cutting-edge training and technological research," he explains.
