Welcomed to the Metz campus, high school students from Lorraine compete to participate in the national final, which will take place in May at the THALES company in the Paris region. At the 2016 national final, the "Ear Bracelet" team from Louis Vincent High School won the technological innovation award presented by Arts et Métiers.

Sport, health, everyday life, personal assistance... the young participants are brimming with creativity and technical expertise to bring their projects to fruition. On Thursday, April 27, the teams will be evaluated and ranked by a jury, which will decide which of them will travel to Paris to represent Lorraine.

For this first academic final hosted on the Metz campus, four partners will present awards: the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Metz (winner's prize), Mathworks, Vinci Construction, Vinci Energie, and Eurovia.

In the previous edition, eight projects and 30 students competed in the academic final. This year, there are 97 students presenting 27 projects.

The Engineering Science Olympiads are organized bythe Union of Industrial Science and Technology Teachers (UPSTI). They seek to stimulate technological innovation among students in their junior and senior years at technical and general high schools throughout the country.
