A Behind-the-Scenes Look at AI
Suitable for middle school students
Artificial intelligence is everywhere, but how does it actually work? Through demonstrations and real-world examples, discover its many facets and its applications in industry: pattern recognition, automated disassembly, and even 3D reconstruction from photographs using Gaussian Splatting.
Ready to take on the challenge? This workshop will help you separate fact from fiction when it comes to artificial intelligence, understand how it works, and explore both its strengths and its limitations.

- The Ravaged Scientist: A Full-Scale Scientific Investigation
Immerse yourself in a science-themed escape game where logic, teamwork, and curiosity are your best tools! By solving a series of science-inspired puzzles (mathematics, physics, cryptography…), you’ll need to find a hidden object before time runs out. With secret codes, hidden clues, and surprising discoveries, this workshop puts you in the shoes of real researchers facing a mystery to solve. Will you be able to combine your knowledge and reasoning to save the day? - Humans vs. AI: Who Will Make the Best Prediction?
Take control of a mini-catapult and dive into an experience that combines physics and artificial intelligence! After firing shots and collecting data, you’ll learn how to train an AI to predict trajectories without knowing the laws of physics. The final challenge: compare your intuitions, scientific models, and the AI’s predictions. Which will be the most accurate? A fun way to understand how science explains the world and how AI learns from data.

When risks arise, we're always there to respond!
During this workshop, you'll dive into real-life scenarios where every decision counts!
Through challenges, games, and team missions, you’ll learn to spot hazards, prevent accidents, and develop the right reflexes—just like real scientists.
On the agenda: test your instincts with a mini-game, analyze everyday settings (technology and chemistry labs, the cafeteria, the gym…), gear up like pros with the right PPE, and most importantly… take on a mission where you’ll have to work as a team to manage a risky situation!
You'll even get hands-on experience through role-playing exercises, before wrapping up with a quiz to determine who are the top security experts.

Delve into the world of hair seen up close! Using microscopes, you will observe its shapes, appearances, and even its inhabitants... lice and nits will hold no more secrets for you. You will discover different types of microscopy and test the mechanical strength of a hair. A surprising moment to understand living matter and address the topic of hair recycling. - Measuring the infinitely fine and long
A hair seems tiny... but how long is it really? Using dimensional and industrial measuring tools, you will assess the thickness and characteristics of your hair. This is an opportunity to experiment with precision tools and learn about the measurement methods used in industry and research.

Discover the extreme conditions of space through interactive experiments. Welcome behind the scenes of the industry of the future! What if you could turn a simple sheet of metal into a real object? We offer a two-part tour:
- Tour of the Technology Hall
Take a tour of the Technology Hall to discover equipment you’ve never seen before. Highlights include: 3D printers, waterjet cutting machines, robotic arms, the X-Manufacturing platform, and more. You’ll learn how these machines turn ideas into objects to shape the world of tomorrow. - Metal Die Design
After the tour, it’s time to get hands-on! You’ll design your own metal die. Using simple calculations, you’ll learn how to draw your template, then use tools to cut, bend, and assemble your creation. A hands-on, creative workshop where you’ll discover the basics of industrial design and leave with an object you’ve made with your own hands!
