What is the DD&RS label?
Established in 2015, the DD&RS label is a national recognition program that honors higher education and research institutions committed to sustainable development and social responsibility.
Awarded by the Collective for the Integration of Social Responsibility in Higher Education (CIRSES), this certification supports institutions in structuring their approach and pursuing continuous improvement. It also encourages the development of staff competencies and the sharing of best practices within a community of institutions committed to ecological, social, and societal transitions.
This certification marks a major milestone in the implementation of the institution’s strategy for sustainable development and social and environmental responsibility. It recognizes the collective efforts of the entire Arts et Métiers community Arts et Métiers encourages the continuation of the initiatives already underway.
A Recognition of a Collective Commitment
In 2022, Arts et Métiers a five-year action plan with the goal of obtaining the DD&RS certification for higher education institutions. The award of this certification on July 7, 2026—valid for four years—recognizes the in-depth work carried out over several years. The entire Arts et Métiers ecosystem Arts et Métiers together in thematic groups to structure and document the school’s initiatives around five main areas:

A new direction to build on this momentum!
To accelerate the rollout of its DD&RS strategy, Arts et Métiers a Department of Environmental and Societal Transitions (TES) and Impact, which will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer.
His mission: to strengthen the oversight of the SD&RS strategy, ensure the consistent implementation of initiatives across all campuses, and measure their impact through the Data Observatory.
