From May 18 to 24, several Arts et Métiers campuses Arts et Métiers in AI for All Week, a national event supported within the institution by the CAIRE project.
A week to explore and understand artificial intelligence
Artificial intelligence is currently transforming many industries and raising as many opportunities as it does questions. To help everyone better understand these developments, several Arts et Métiers campuses have joined Arts et Métiers for “AI for All Week.”
Implemented within the institution by the CAIREproject, this national initiative aims to promote AI literacy among all audiences. Throughout the week, students, staff, and schoolchildren were able to participate in various activities designed to explore the uses of artificial intelligence, understand its challenges, and discuss its impacts.
Events held on multiple campuses
In Paris and Bordeaux, AI Cafés provided a relaxed setting for discussing the uses of artificial intelligence, fostering discussion and the sharing of experiences.
The Bordeaux campus also hosted a fourth-grade class for an introductory session on AI, featuring demonstrations and workshops tailored for younger students.
In Châlons-en-Champagne, several workshops were offered to eighth-grade students to raise their awareness of how artificial intelligence works and the issues it raises in our society.
On the Metz campus, the fifth edition of Digital Artificial Intelligence (DAI5), organized by CaMéX-IA, brought together students, faculty, experts, and professionals to discuss the industrial applications of AI. Lectures, presentations by engineering students, and hands-on workshops marked the day, which was dedicated to the digital transformation of businesses.
In total, more than 260 participants took part in the various events organized on the Arts et Métiers campuses.
An inter-campus quiz to test your knowledge
In addition to the locally organized events, a quiz on artificial intelligence was made available to the entire Arts et Métiers community.
This activity allowed participants to test their knowledge while learning about some key concepts related to AI.
Thanks to strong support from its community, the Metz campus won this year’s competition by recording the highest number of entries. The campuses in Aix-en-Provence and Châlons-en-Champagne rounded out the top three.
The CAIRE Project: Promoting AI Literacy
This awareness week is fully in line with the project’s objectives CAIREproject, which supports the Arts et Métiers community Arts et Métiers adopting artificial intelligence technologies.
Through training, awareness-raising, and pilot initiatives, the project helps foster a shared understanding of AI applications and supports the transformations it brings about in higher education and the professional world.
