From April 8 to 10, 2026, Arts et Métiers in Laval Virtual 2026, an international event dedicated to immersive technologies (virtual reality, augmented reality, and XR).

On this occasion, Arts et Métiers present with a booth dedicated to its research projects, educational programs, and several technology demonstrations.

A booth where you can learn about our programs and research projects

The booth will highlight the training programs offered by the institutes in Laval and Chalon-sur-Saône, as well as several research projects related to immersive technologies and industrial systems.

Among them is the DAMAS project, led by the Chalon-sur-Saône Institute as part of the Carnot network, which aims to develop digital twins to optimize manufacturing processes, improve equipment flexibility, and streamline resource use.

The startup PolyFlyx, which originated at the Metz campus and is backed by AMVALOR, will also be there to showcase its solutionfor automating finishing operations, designed to improve workshop performance while preserving the role of operators.

Student demonstrations and projects

A demonstration area will showcase several projects developed by the Arts et Métiers team Arts et Métiers Laval, including the European R3GROUP project, which explores the use of artificial intelligence, digital twins, and immersive 3D environments to enhance business resilience and the reconfigurability of production lines.

The CAPLAB platform will also be showcased through several demonstrations focused on preserving and passing on professional skills.

Students in the MTI3D Master’s program, winners of the RVTEAM challenge, will also have their own booth and will participate in the #Students international competition, which is reserved for VR/AR projects developed as part of academic courses or personal projects.

Two finalists in the Laval Virtual Awards

This year's event will also featureArts et Métiers the finalists for the 2026 Laval Virtual Awards : the startup PolyFlyx and the JENII project have been selected in the Startups and Education & Training categories, respectively.

Each year, nearly 300 entries are reviewed by a panel of experts to recognize the best achievements in virtual and augmented reality.

The awards ceremony will be held on Thursday, April 9, at 6:30 p.m . at theEspace Mayenne.

Launch of the CAPLAB platform

On the sidelines of the trade show, Arts et Métiers andl’Clarté will launch CAPLAB, a platform unique in Europe dedicated to the capture, analysis, and transmission of professional movements.

The goal is to preserve and document this expertise so that it can be incorporated into digital training and support systems for operators.

The inauguration program includes a tour of the facility, demonstrations, and presentations by scientists and industry representatives.
