The Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Bordeaux Talence continues to expand with the Pôle d’Ingénierie Bordelais (P.I.B.) real estate project, which is set to become a central hub for training and research on the campus. Covering an area of approximately 5,000 m², the P.I.B. is structured around two large complementary centers.

A hub for teaching and campus life

This center will include teaching facilities and event spacessuitable for both educational activities and conferences.

  • 300-seat amphitheater
  • 80-seat rooms for parallel sessions
  • Reception area for 120 seated guests

This infrastructure will strengthen the institution's engineering programs by modernizing teaching facilities and accommodating the increase in campus enrollment.

Special attention will be paid to the Cour Carrée, to preserve this space steeped inhistory and emotion, involving students and alumni from the campus.

The P.I.B also contributes to the structuring of the I2M laboratory, a major player in mechanical engineering and partnership-based research in Nouvelle Aquitaine.

The project is part of the restructuring of research and transfer activities on theBordeaux campus, in collaboration with the University of Bordeaux and Bordeaux INP.

The objective: to create a major engineering hub(mechanical, electronic, digital) consistent with the challenges of the FourthIndustrial Revolution, promoting interaction between engineering and digital technology in industry.
